Días de la Semana
This week we learned about days of the week and beginning to look at months of the year. We played days of the week memory and shared what day of the week our favorite TV show was on. We learned a song about the days of the week and practiced singing it really really fast!
Now we are learning months of the year. We learned a song to the tune of "We Will Rock You" and even did some Macarena moves to the months of the year. We played the students favorite game with is called "Cuatro Esquinas" (Four Corners) I put a different month in each corner and the students choose a month as I count to ten. If I call their month then they are out until the next round. The last person standing wins. Next week we are going to start talking about classroom object and the Hispanic holiday "Dia de los Muertos". ¡Adíos!

Shapes and Colors
In Spanish this week we learned about shapes and reviewed colors. We played Bingo with colors and shapes and read a story about what a rainbow is made of. We often play I Spy to find different shapes in our classroom and identify what colors we are wearing. For a fun activity to do at home, ask your child what colors they are wearing in Spanish. Next week we will start learning the days of the week. ¡Hasta luego!
**Don't forget the Chinese Language Night on October 13 at 6:30...It will be a great night of fun language activities.
